Slow Sunday

It's Sunday...I have a bit of free time but it's very limited and I'm trying to think about how to use it for creative wizardry. Hmmm. Jez?
Oh my word! It's all been so busy busy today for me, admin things. I feel that sometimes the pressure to get everything done holds up creativity. Seize this moment Hannah! What are you thinking about?
I've been beetling around the Peak District and it's beautiful. The sky is one, complete wash of blue/grey that makes all the autumnal shades more vivid and bold - the change to autumn can sometimes be messy - green melting off trees in days of rain and dark, colours leaking away out of sight...but not today. It's vibrant and painted and slightly intimidating in its luminosity. It's making me think about the collective affect of small changes and how small changes can build something powerful/rich/strong. Almost imperceptible differences that develop into a big "ta-daaaah!". Erm. Jez??
Yes!!! I think this is right! Over lockdown I worked on a lot of things, and although they were all small, the thing I noticed is that they altered my piano playing and not always in ways that I expected. I don't know if there was a big impact moment but certainly doing small things makes change achievable and possible, and in the least expected ways sometimes!
I feel as though I'm starting an idea that may be a long crawl away...

So. Jez. How are your cogs? Whirring or crawling?
Right now...my cogs are sluggish and need a bit of oil (or perhaps some wine). Too many spreadsheets and emails, BUT I'm looking forward to some creative meetings this week, hopefully the next steps for whale detective!
Did you have some wine? I've just had two sentences in a text from a mate with a brain the size of Jupiter and a finger on the pulse of all things poetic and wonderful and now I have an idea...mwhahahaaaaa (rubs hands together with glee). I'm going to attach rocket boosters to my shell.
Snail detective! (I did have some wine...)
